All that you need to know about our "National Flag"

F lags are not just a piece of cloth with multiple designs but instead, it is an emotion that binds together the people of a particular nation irrespective of their religion, caste, race, or language.   For, we Indians our Flag is probably the most important thing that matters to us and none of us can ever dream of doing something which will disrespect the flag. THE IMPERIAL GUPTAS

  A fter being ruled by the foreign powers for more a century, the people of India for the very first time came under the rule of the native rulers around the 3rd century AD with the emergence of the Guptas in the Indo-Gangetic plain of modern-day UP & Bihar. The Kushans who preceded the Guptas as the major power in the subcontinent started to decline due to many reasons. They lost their northwestern dominions to the rising Sassanian Dynasty from Persia in and around 230 AD and at the same time, their eastern dominions in Northern India started to shrink because of the rise in power of their feudatories. Guptas also served under them as their feudatories in the region of modern-day UP & Bihar. The early rulers of the Guptas grabbed the opportunity and started the dynasty that was to dominate the subcontinent for the coming few centuries. The period after the decline of the Mauryans is considered as the dark phase of the Indian History. This is basically because of the lot of works and lot of variations taking place simultaneously. We find a lot of foreign empires taking hold of the subcontinent be it the Indo-Greeks, Sakas, Pahlavas, Kushanas or the Sassanians. The invasion of the foreign powers into the subcontinent brought different aspect to the social and material culture of the people. Also the foreign trade of the subcontinent with the outer world was flourishing at this time (especially under the Kushanas who got hold of the Silk Route) which had made the economy to boom at that time which can be clearly judged from the purity of the gold coins which were being issued by the Kushanas; and that its primarily the main reason why the Marxist school of Historians considered the age particularly under Kushanas to be the "Golden Age of the Indian History".
